The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority recently closed the Nepali Himalayan Restaurant for violating non-halal food regulations.

The restaurant was preparing and serving non-halal food without the required permits.

According to the food safety authority, the restaurant was storing and preparing non-halal food with the same equipment used for halal food and failing to separate the two.

The restaurant will only reopened once these issues are addressed and resolved.

The only way the issue can be resolved is once the facility changes its euipment and thoroughly sterilizes the premises before reopening.

The public has been requested to report any violations of food safety regulations by calling 800 555.
