Muse Cancels UAE Concert
Etihad Arena show on Feb. 4 called off as Muse cites “unforeseen circumstances.”
British rock band Muse has cancelled its scheduled concert in the United Arab Emirates, originally set to take place on February 4, 2026, at Etihad Arena, organisers confirmed.
In a statement shared by concert promoter Live Nation, the cancellation is due to “unforeseen circumstances beyond our control,” with the band expressing regret to fans who had purchased tickets. The announcement also noted that shows in India and South Africa have been cancelled for similar reasons.
Live Nation stated that all ticket holders for the Abu Dhabi date will receive automatic refunds, with no action required from purchasers. Details about potential rescheduling have not yet been provided.
Fans took to social media following the news, expressing disappointment and hoping for future concert announcements once circumstances become clearer. While the specific reasons behind the cancellations remain undisclosed, the band described the decision as “very difficult” and thanked supporters for their understanding.
The UAE leg of the tour was to be part of a broader international schedule that included performances in South Africa and India. All these shows were cancelled simultaneously due to the same unforeseen issues.
Muse, formed in 1994 and known for hits such as Supermassive Black Hole, Starlight and Knights of Cydonia, has a long history of dynamic live performances, including past appearances in the UAE, notably at the Abu Dhabi Formula One after-race concert series.
For now, fans await updates on whether the band will reschedule the UAE concert or include Abu Dhabi in future tour plans.
