Filipino workers in the UAE are getting a simpler way to verify employment contracts. VFS Global, in partnership with DBP Data Centre Inc. (DCI), will launch dedicated Contract Verification Centres (CVCs) in Dubai and Abu Dhabi by the end of January 2026.
The move aims to make contract verification more secure, transparent, and convenient for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).
How the New Process Works
OFWs can book appointments and pay fees online before visiting their nearest CVC. Once the Migrant Workers Office (MWO) verifies the documents, applicants receive an email notification to collect them.
Optional services, like courier delivery and SMS updates, are also available for a small extra fee.
Why Contract Verification Matters
Verifying contracts ensures employment agreements meet government standards and protections. It’s also required when applying for an Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC), which Filipino workers need to work abroad legally.
Convenience and Accessibility
The new centres will have extended hours, operate seven days a week, and provide a 24/7 helpline. Applicants can pay fees securely online and track their applications in real time. For the first 30 days, verification fees will be waived.
“This partnership reflects our commitment to supporting OFWs through secure and efficient services,” said Jiten Vyas, VFS Global’s Chief Commercial Officer.
