Saudi Arabia’s Film AlUla, the Royal Commission for AlUla’s movie-making squad, dropped the news that the trend-setting Nicola Formichetti is hopping on board as a costume guru for their top-notch AlUla Creates project.
Formichetti's resume is lit, like, super lit -- boasting styling gigs with mega-pop icon Lady Gaga and major fashion labels like Mugler.
Talking about his new role, Formichetti expressed how excited he is to be working on AlUla Creates. As a mentor, Formichetti is guiding designers like Alia and Abeer Oraif of Atelier Hekayat and Arwa Al Ammari of ArAm as they craft costumes for directors Hana Alfasi, Maram Taibah, and the Almohandes sisters. These flicks are set to drop at film festivals later this year.
Formichetti's joining a star-studded mentor squad that includes Saudi boss Haifaa Al-Mansour and Vertigo Films' James Richardson and Jane Moore. It's gonna be fire!
