The UAE and Saudi Arabia Condemn Israel's Attack on Doha
Riyadh and Abu Dhabi unite in condemning Israeli strike on Doha, pledging solidarity with Qatar and stressing Gulf security
Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates have strongly condemned Israel’s recent attack on Doha, Qatar, marking a unified stance by Gulf states in defense of regional stability.
In an official statement, Riyadh denounced the strike “in the strongest terms,” describing it as brutal Israeli aggression and a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of the sisterly State of Qatar.
Saudi authorities further cautioned that such actions could have “grave consequences resulting from the Israeli occupation’s persistence in its criminal transgressions and its blatant violation of the principles of international law and all international norms.”
Echoing these sentiments, the UAE voiced its unequivocal support for Qatar. Senior diplomatic adviser Anwar Gargash affirmed that the Emirates “stand wholeheartedly with our sisterly state of Qatar” and condemned the “treacherous Israeli attack that targeted it.”
He added that “the security of the Arab Gulf states is indivisible,” underscoring that Abu Dhabi is in “full solidarity with Qatar in confronting this aggression.”
The coordinated condemnation highlights the collective resolve of Gulf nations to safeguard sovereignty and regional security amid escalating tensions. Both Saudi Arabia and the UAE emphasized that stability in the Gulf depends on mutual protection, solidarity, and adherence to international law.
By rallying behind Qatar, the two Gulf powers signal that any violation of sovereignty in the region will be treated as an affront to all Arab Gulf states. The rare joint denunciation serves as both a warning to Israel and a message of unity to the international community.
