Bringing together exceptional savoir-faire, the House of Guerlain is combining its expertise with Baqué Molinié’s prowess to celebrate the first Eid festival. Renowned for its excellence in embroidery, the artistic studio is infusing the Bee Bottle with an unprecedented dimension. The dome of the famous glass bottle has been embellished with an adornment of mother-of-pearl beads and moonstones of dazzling white, a truly refined masterpiece. The essence contained in the bottle, Perle Impériale in its Perfume Extract version, casts an alluring spell with its blend of delicate notes: bergamot at the top, fig at the heart and woody base notes that give it a pronounced fragrance signature. This unusually distinctive creation pays homage to the rich heritage of the Orient, while remaining true to the tradition of French high perfumery in a numbered Métier d’Art edition.

BAQUÉ MOLINIÉ: HAUTE-COUTURE EMBROIDERY ATELIER

Enveloped in an aura of age-old craftsmanship, Baqué Molinié has established itself not only as a studio specialising in textile design and embroidery, but also as a showcase for the meticulous virtuosity inherited from generations of artisans.

A MASTERPIECE: THE SUBLIME EVOCATION OF AN ANCESTRAL ARABIC ART

Guerlain’s new artistic collaboration with Baqué Molinié has given rise to a Bee Bottle boasting a pristine purity, the height of elegance and finesse. Guerlain’s iconic silhouette dialogues with the curves of the cupola of the Alhambra, an architectural wonder nestled at the heart of Granada in Andalusia. An ode to Arabic art, the Alhambra imposes its fortified walls whose visible robustness contrasts with the lightness of the arabesques, seeming to embody the sculpted pages of a Persian poem. In the recesses of the Comares Palace and the Palace of the Lions, majesty is revealed in the details: coffered ceilings that draw the eye to the heavens and evoke the enchanting tales of One Thousand and One Nights.

The ornament designed by Baqué Molinié borrows from this magnificence, imbuing the opulence of oriental culture into a Métier d’Art piece that is aesthetic and fragrant in equal measure. The embroidery duo brings to life a majestic dome meticulously decorated with mother-of-pearl beads and moonstone cabochons with an immaculate lustre. An exquisite pearl adornment inspired by the famous ceilings featuring muqarnas, these embedded prisms forming hypnotically complex assemblies.

This incredibly subtle piece thus transforms into a palpable expression of art and savoir-faire, a sensory experience that transcends the mere bottle, making it a masterpiece of craftsmanship, a concentrate of civilisation and elegance.

The pearl array fashioned by Baqué Molinié to adorn the Bee Bottle is more than a mere ornament; an object of perfection, it is also the proud custodian of symbols from oriental culture.

THE ART OF EXCEPTIONAL EMBROIDERY

“We wanted to decorate the dome of the bottle with a radiant mother- of-pearl adornment to show off its voluptuous curves. The essence of our vision is drawn from the architecture of the cupola of the Alhambra, a sublime evocation of time-honoured Arabic craftsmanship.” - Laetitia Baqué & Victor Molinié

PERLE IMPÉRIALE: A JOURNEY BETWEEN EAST AND WEST

An exclusive trail accompanies this exceptional creation: Perle Impériale, in its Perfume Extract version, the most rich and luxurious of concentrations. This fragrant work of art invites us on a sensory journey in the Mediterranean, where the destinies of East and West have intertwined through the ages.

The prelude is a vertical and exuberant symphony of citrus fruit, an effervescent mandarin and a sparkling bergamot. Meticulously chosen in Calabria for three generations, this “green gold” unfurls zesty, herbaceous and floral facets vibrating under the joyful influence of pink peppercorn.

At the heart of the composition, the Guerlain Perfumer paints a portrait of a voluptuous fig note, using both its leaves and its juicy fruit, as if it had escaped from a Mediterranean garden. Its tones are set off by the majestic allure of iris, a precious flower that is a House signature.

In its powdery trail, awakens the spirit of the Orient, embodied by a woody sandalwood base, enhanced by myrrh and leathery notes. A cedarwood framework adds a linear architecture to this composition with an almost pictorial sumptuousness. Like an exotic wind blowing from a Mediterranean garden to the mysterious lands of One Thousand and One Nights, Perle Impériale is a celebration of fine materials and timeless stories.
