US President says the military campaign is progressing “ahead of schedule” but warns Iran against disrupting global oil supplies.

US President Donald Trump has said the war with Iran could end “very soon”, expressing confidence that the military campaign against Tehran is progressing faster than expected.

Speaking to reporters in Florida on Monday, Mr Trump said he believed the conflict was nearing its conclusion but declined to provide a specific timeline for when hostilities might stop.

“I think it’s going to be over very soon,” the US President said, describing the campaign as advancing rapidly and suggesting that American and allied forces had made significant progress on the ground.

Mr Trump also said the military operation was “very far ahead of schedule,” highlighting what he described as successful strikes against Iranian capabilities during the conflict.

However, the president warned that the situation could escalate if Iran attempts to disrupt global oil shipments. He cautioned that any move by Tehran to block tanker traffic or threaten energy supplies could trigger a stronger US response.

The remarks come as the war between Iran and the US-Israel alliance enters its second week, with ongoing strikes and retaliatory attacks reported across the region.

Despite his optimistic tone about the war ending soon, Mr Trump has maintained a firm stance toward Tehran. He has repeatedly said that the campaign will continue until US objectives are achieved and Iran’s military capabilities are significantly weakened.

Mr Trump’s comments signal that Washington believes the conflict is moving toward a decisive phase, although fighting and regional tensions continue.
