UAE Airlines Named Among the Safest in the World for 2025
Emirates, Etihad Airways, flydubai, and Air Arabia all earned top spots in the rankings
In the wake of recent air travel turbulence — including last week's tragic Air India crash — flyers might be feeling a little jittery about their next boarding call. But there’s some reassurance in store: flying is still one of the safest ways to travel, and a new global report is here to prove it.
Airlineratings.com just dropped its 2025 Safest Airlines list, and it’s great news for the UAE. Emirates, Etihad Airways, flydubai, and Air Arabia all earned top spots in the rankings — putting the country’s carriers firmly in the global aviation safety spotlight.
The list covers both full-service and low-cost airlines and is based on strict criteria like serious incident history, fleet age, pilot training, IOSA certification, and expert input from flight inspectors and check pilots.

Still, for UAE travelers heading elsewhere, there’s confidence in knowing the country’s airlines are flying at the top of their safety game.
