UAE Astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi Has Reached ISS

The Emirati sstronaut along with his four Crew-6 mates haved reached ISS and will stay their the next six months.

After a 24-hour long journey, Emirati astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi and his four Crew-6 mates have reached the International Space Station (ISS), which will be their home for the next six months.

At 12:45 p.m., Dragon Spacecraft's hatch opened and the first to float to ISS was Nasa Mission Commander Stephen Bowen, followed by Nasa Pilot Warren Hoburg, then UAE Astronaut Sultan AlNeyadi, and Roscosmos Cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev. They were received by Expedition 68, led by ISS commander Roscosmos cosmonaut Sergey Prokopyev.
At 12:49 p.m. Al Neyadi entered ISS, which marked the start of his six-month space mission.
At 1:05 p.m., Al Neyadi spoke in Arabic and thanked the UAE leadership, Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC), and the UAE gathering. He also said "The UAE, in cooperation with international partners, is helping in pushing the boundaries of science for the benefit of humanity…Go Dragon, Go SpaceX!"
After the liftoff on Thursday, Friday officially becomes day one of the longest Arab space mission in history.
