UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held a phone call today with His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, to express the UAE’s full support following the recent Iranian attack on the Al Udeid airbase.

During the call, Sheikh Mohamed expressed the UAE’s solidarity with Qatar and strongly condemned the attack. He reaffirmed the UAE’s support for all steps Qatar takes to protect its sovereignty, security, and the wellbeing of its citizens and residents.

He also checked in on the situation in Qatar and asked about the health and safety of its people.

The leaders also discussed the newly announced ceasefire agreement between Iran and Israel. Sheikh Mohamed welcomed the agreement and said he hoped it would help build lasting peace and stability across the Middle East.

He praised Sheikh Tamim’s role in facilitating the ceasefire and highlighted the importance of continued coordination between the UAE and Qatar to ensure the deal's success.

In response, Sheikh Tamim thanked Sheikh Mohamed for his kind words and supportive stance, and expressed appreciation for the UAE’s solidarity during this time.
