National Centre of Meteorology forecasts wet and foggy conditions through Friday with cooler days and low-visibility events for motorists.

Residents across the United Arab Emirates are bracing for unsettled weather this week, with rain, fog and fluctuating conditions forecasted through Friday, January 23, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has advised.

The NCM says the period will be characterised by fog formation, a chance of light rainfall, temperature changes, and active winds with varying sea conditions.

Early Monday saw a yellow weather warning in parts of the country as fog reduced visibility for motorists until around 10 a.m. Forecasts predict that rain is most likely on Tuesday, particularly in northern and coastal areas, with temperatures expected to dip, especially in the western regions.

Foggy conditions are expected again on Wednesday morning, with winds picking up strength and raising the possibility of dusty patches in some areas.

Towards the end of the week, Thursday and Friday mornings could see more humid conditions and further fog, while temperatures are anticipated to rise slightly by Friday.

Authorities continue to urge motorists and outdoor workers to stay alert during periods of reduced visibility and check the latest weather updates before travelling or planning activities.
