Wicked the Musical is Coming to Dubai

Dubai is set to welcome Wicked The Musical for the first time ever in the UAE, with performances lined up at Dubai Opera from Wednesday, January 28, through Sunday, February 15, 2026.

Co-presented by Dubai Opera and Broadway Entertainment Group, this marks a major milestone for the city’s live performance scene. 

The production promises a renewed, high-impact staging of the beloved tale of Elphaba and Glinda, exploring their journey from Shiz University to the Emerald City. Audiences can expect dazzling visual elements, bold costume designs, and a show-stopping moment when a witch soars above the audience — something confirmed as a first for this production.

With more than 100 performers, crew, and orchestra members accompanied by over 350 ornate costumes, this is being billed as a grand-scale, reimagined version of the global phenomenon. 

Ticket sales are scheduled to open at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 19, 2025.  

Given Wicked’s international popularity — having been seen by over 65 million people in more than 130 cities across 16 countries — demand is expected to be high.
