Yas Island brings Hawkins to life with the new “Stranger Things: The Experience” — an immersive journey into the Upside Down.

From 14 November 2025 through 15 February 2026 at Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, fans of the Netflix hit series Stranger Things and thrill-seekers alike can now step into a world-class interactive attraction. The event, titled Stranger Things: The Experience, invites visitors to become the hero of their own Hawkins-based adventure.

The attraction begins in the chilling confines of Hawkins Lab, where participants are treated as subjects in a “sleep study”. From there, visitors are guided in small, timed groups into progressively eerie and atmospheric rooms, gradually building tension through special effects, lighting cues and live actor interaction. According to a preview by The National, the setup “works as a story-led walk-through” that captures the tone of the series rather than just offering themed décor.

What sets the experience apart is its structure and production values: the total journey lasts 60-75 minutes, with around 40 minutes spent walking through the immersive narrative portion — followed by a lighter “Mix-Tape” zone celebrating 1980s nostalgia. This zone features themed food and drink, photo opportunities in iconic sets such as Scoops Ahoy and Byers’ living room, and exclusive merchandise.

Located next to the Etihad Arena car park on Yas Island, the event is part of the destination’s push to host major entertainment experiences. Tickets begin at AED 75, and the location is wheelchair-accessible.

Whether you're a die-hard fan of the series or simply looking for a high-quality immersive attraction, Stranger Things: The Experience appears to deliver both thrills and nostalgia. As one reviewer put it, even newcomers unfamiliar with the show would find the cinematic journey “worth a visit”.

Given its limited run, booking early is advised. With its mix of storytelling, interactivity and pop culture nostalgia, the attraction is set to become a major draw in Abu Dhabi’s entertainment calendar.
