Pie

1 ½ cups (180 grams) graham crackers, crumbled
¼ cup (50 grams) granulated sugar
6 tbsp (85 grams) unsalted butter, melted
1 ¼ cups dulce de leche
2 large bananas, sliced

Whipped Cream

2 cups (480ml) cold heavy whipping cream
¼ cup granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract

To Garnish

Chocolate shavings, chopped nuts, or toffee bits

  1. Preheat the Oven

    Preheat your oven to 177°C to bake the crust.
  2. Make the Crust

    Blend the graham crackers in a food processor until they are fine crumbles. Transfer the crumbs to a bowl and mix them with the granulated sugar. Then, stir in the melted butter. The mixture should be thick and sandy.
  3. Transfer to a Pie Dish

    Pour the crumbled crackers into an ungreased 23 cm (9-inch) pie dish and gently press them down and up the sides to form a compact crust. Avoid pressing too hard, or the crust will become too firm. If necessary, smooth the surface with a flat-bottomed measuring cup.
  4. Bake and Cool

    Bake the crust for 15 minutes, then let it cool for 15 minutes before adding the filling.
  5. Make the Whipped Cream

    Using a mixer, whip the heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla extract on medium-high speed for 3-4 minutes until medium peaks form. The whipped cream should be smooth, airy, and perfect for spreading.
  6. Assemble the Pie

    Spread a generous layer of dulce de leche over the cooled crust. Arrange banana slices in 2 layers on top, then spread the whipped cream evenly over everything.
  7. Chill and Serve

    Refrigerate the pie uncovered for at least 2 hours or up to 1 day before serving. If desired, garnish with chocolate shavings, nuts, or toffee bits, and enjoy!
