After the title track from Aanand L Rai’s Tere Ishk Mein captured millions of hearts and dominated music charts, the makers—T-Series and Colour Yellow—have now unveiled the film’s much-anticipated second song, “Usey Kehna.”
Backed by producer Bhushan Kumar and composed by the legendary A. R. Rahman, this new track expands the emotional world of the film, immersing listeners in a love story that feels both powerful and deeply human.
Written by acclaimed lyricist Irshad Kamil and sung by Nitesh Aher and Jonita Gandhi, Usey Kehna bears Rahman’s signature emotional resonance—blending timeless melody with personal intimacy. The song also features new glimpses from the film, showcasing Dhanush and Kriti Sanon in poignant moments that trace Mukti’s (Kriti Sanon) evolving journey of love, pain, and rediscovery.
Speaking about the song’s creative roots, A. R. Rahman shared, “This next song, Usey Kehna, was inspired from when we travelled to Himachal and witnessed the reflection of the mountains in the Ganges. Everything around inspired the melody—simple piano, strings, and the newfound voice of Nitesh. I hope people enjoy it and feel what we felt creating it.”
Director-producer Aanand L Rai added, “Music is the strongest form of magic, and I’ve had the privilege to watch the greatest magician, A. R. Rahman, create it up close. Usey Kehna is another gem straight from our hearts.”
Producer Bhushan Kumar echoed the sentiment, saying, “The track brings out the unspoken emotions that lie at the heart of Tere Ishk Mein. It’s raw, real, and deeply human. With Rahman’s soulful score, Kamil’s heartfelt words, and Rai’s evocative visuals, this song beautifully carries forward the film’s emotional essence.”
The combination of Rahman’s music, Himanshu Sharma’s dialogues, and Aanand L Rai’s cinematic storytelling continues to build anticipation for what promises to be one of the year’s most soulful musical experiences.
