More than 200 educators just received the coveted Golden Visa, thanks to an initiative led by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai’s Crown Prince. The move celebrates teachers’ vital role in building the next generation’s skills, values, and confidence.
A Tribute to the Power of Education
Sheikh Hamdan praised teachers as “the ones who light the way forward,” emphasising that their work extends beyond classrooms and helps strengthen Dubai’s global standing. The Golden Visa, he said, is a symbol of appreciation for their integrity, dedication, and impact on society.
Fair Selection, Big Recognition
Out of 435 applicants, 223 educators were chosen — including 157 from schools, 60 from universities, and six from early childhood centres. The selection focused purely on qualifications, achievements, and community impact, ensuring a fair process free from bias.
Next Round Opens Soon
For educators eyeing the next opportunity, applications for the second round of Golden Visas will open from October 15 to December 15. The announcement came as Dubai joined the world in marking World Teachers’ Day on October 5.
