Residents representing 77 nationalities will come together at DAMAC Hills on July 15 to plant flame trees in celebration of the 77th birthday of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

The initiative forms part of DAMAC Properties' long-term environmental strategy to plant 30,000 flame trees by 2030, supporting Dubai's vision of becoming a greener, more sustainable city.

Amira Sajwani, Managing Director of DAMAC Properties, said the event reflects Dubai's spirit of unity, diversity and progress while paying tribute to Sheikh Mohammed's leadership.

The tree-planting event has been conceptualised and organised by DAMAC Properties and is part of the company's broader Flame Tree Initiative, which is being rolled out across DAMAC communities and developments in Dubai.

The initiative aligns with the emirate's sustainability goals and supports efforts to expand urban greenery while improving environmental resilience.

Launched under the directive of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, the Flame Tree Initiative aims to enhance Dubai's urban landscape by increasing tree cover, providing natural shade and helping reduce temperatures during the summer months.
