Abu Dhabi marked the arrival of the New Year with a showcase of fireworks and drones at the renowned Sheikh Zayed Festival. The festivities started with a 30-minute drone show featuring 5,000 UAVs, followed by a breathtaking 40-minute fireworks display.
Record Turnout at the Festival
A large crowd, comprising residents from various parts of the UAE, crowded the festival grounds to join in the New Year festivities. The excitement was evident from the early arrival of visitors well before the scheduled 4 PM opening. The surge of attendees was unexpected and authorities had to close entry an hour before the event due to reaching maximum capacity.
Overflowing Enthusiasm and Activities
Before hitting full capacity, the venue buzzed with energy as attendees lined up at different stalls for food and beverages, ticket counters, gaming areas, and various entertainment hubs. The overwhelming response showcased not only the success of the event but also the community's eagerness to unite and celebrate the beginning of the New Year at the Sheikh Zayed Festival.
