Bassem Youssef to Perform in Dubai This Fall
From Scalpel to Stage: Bassem Youssef Returns to Dubai with Satirical Flair
Egyptian-American satirist Bassem Youssef is set to enchant Dubai audiences with a highly anticipated solo comedy performance this fall, taking the stage on 16 November 2025 at the Coca-Cola Arena in City Walk. The performance, delivered in English, is part of his “Bassem Youssef Live” tour.
Youssef’s return to Dubai follows a sold-out show at Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Arena last year, further solidifying his strong connection with UAE audiences.
Once a heart surgeon in Cairo, Youssef pivoted to comedy during the Arab Spring, hosting Al-Bernameg, the Arab world’s first major political satire show. Forced into exile after political pressure, he later built a global media career in the US, earning acclaim as “The Egyptian Jon Stewart”.
His fame extends beyond stand-up: his October 2023 interview with Piers Morgan became the most-watched on Piers Morgan Uncensored, amassing more than 23 million views. Youssef has also made notable appearances in shows like Mo (Netflix), Ramy (Hulu), and Upload (Prime Video), and authored the book Revolution for Dummies: Laughing Through the Arab Spring in 2017.
Long-standing ties with the UAE see him having headlined the Sharjah International Book Fair in 2023 and brought laughter to COP28 attendees earlier this year. Blu Blood’s representatives praise his storytelling as blending “humour, honesty, and heart,” and anticipate the show resonating deeply with Dubai’s diverse and discerning audiences.
Tickets for “Bassem Youssef Live” start at Dh 180 and are currently available online.
