Careem to Pay Customers Dh1 for Every Minute Deliveries Are Late

Multi-service app Careem has announced a Dh1 cashback to customers for every minute their order exceeds its estimated time of arrival (ETA).
“Get dirhams for delays. Get AED1 for every minute of delay,” the pop-up announcement on the app read.
The decision will be applied starting May 8th to June 8th, with maximum payment per order of AED10.

“ETA accuracy is optimized by assigning the right Captains to each order based on their proximity to the restaurant and delivery address, as well as streamlining partner operations through quicker dispatch orders from restaurants,” Careem said.
Payment will be transferred to Careem Pay wallet.
Careem added that restaurants with ‘basic tracking’ are not part of the promotion.
