The partnership is timed with the launch of Abu Dhabi’s Smart and Autonomous Vehicles Industry (SAVI) cluster, intended to position the city as a global hub for smart transportation.

EPG plans to use drones to improve delivery speeds and access to remote locations while reducing carbon emissions. Abdulla Mohammed Alashram, Group CEO of EPG, said they are moving to the next phase after successful drone trials and are excited to operate in designated locations in Abu Dhabi.

Both companies will identify customers for commercial drone delivery and ensure operations comply with local aviation laws. They will also collaborate on research projects related to drone technology.

In related news, EPG has signed a Letter of Intent with Dronamics to explore the use of cargo drones for faster and more sustainable delivery solutions in the UAE. The aim is to integrate this technology into EPG’s existing logistics network.
