After five months of silence, the Dubai Fountain is finally getting ready to wow us again. Closed since April 19 for renovations, the world’s largest choreographed fountain will be back in action by next week, October 2025.
Why Everyone’s Excited
Think of it like waiting for a new season of your favorite show — the anticipation is real. The fountain is totally free to watch, with daily shows every 30 minutes from 6pm to 11pm. Picture thousands of lights, dozens of projectors, and jets shooting over 22,000 gallons of water sky-high in perfect sync with music.
A Quick Flashback
The Dubai Fountain first debuted on May 8, 2009, unveiled by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Since then, it has earned the nickname “heartbeat of Downtown Dubai,” sitting right on the Burj Khalifa Lake. Designed by the same creators of the Bellagio fountains in Las Vegas, it quickly became a must-see for both tourists and residents.
What’s New This Time?
Emaar, the developer, said the fountain’s renovation includes improved choreography, upgraded lighting, and a more immersive sound system. Translation: expect brighter lights, sharper moves, and an overall glow-up of Dubai’s favorite free show.
