Dubai’s giving five of its busy marine stations a well-deserved makeover. If you’re a regular at Al Fahidi, Baniyas, Al Seef, Sheikh Zayed Road, or Bluewaters, expect cooler vibes—literally. The RTA just kicked off Phase 2 of its station upgrade project, focusing on better comfort, safety, and accessibility.
Comfort First
Say goodbye to sweaty waits. The revamped stations will have modern air-conditioning and dedicated areas for people of determination, so everyone gets a better ride. The look? Think traditional wooden abras meets futuristic Dubai design—a stylish nod to the city's roots.
#RTA has launched the second phase of the project to upgrade waiting areas at marine transport stations in Dubai. This phase covers five key stations: Al Fahidi, Baniyas, Al Seef, Sheikh Zayed Road, and Bluewaters.

Safety and Style Combined
Each station will also come packed with state-of-the-art safety features like fire alarms and security cams. And yes, everything follows the Dubai Universal Design Code, meaning it’s built for everyone—wheelchairs, strollers, and all.
All About Connectivity
The upgrade isn’t just about looking pretty. It’s also about making commutes smoother, linking marine stations better with other transport like buses, trams, and metro lines. The RTA says it’s all part of their big goal: making Dubai’s public transport world-class.
