Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has completed the first phase of its marine transport upgrade, launching five air-conditioned stations across Dubai Marina. The revamped stops are: Marina Promenade, Marina Terrace, Marina Walk, Marina Mall, and Marina Mall 1.
Each station now includes free Wi-Fi, real-time digital schedule displays, and audio announcements—making daily commutes or weekend ferry rides much more convenient.
Designed for Comfort and Built for Dubai Weather
All five stations are now fully air-conditioned, giving residents and tourists a much-needed break from the city’s heat. The design takes inspiration from traditional wooden abras but with modern functionality, creating a blend of heritage and innovation.
The upgrades also improve access to key destinations such as Marina Mall, nearby residential towers, and metro and tram stations—making transfers smoother for daily commuters.
Accessible, Safe, and Built on Customer Feedback
The RTA selected these stations based on customer input and made sure the new features meet the Dubai Universal Design Code. That means ramps, smooth walkways, and adjusted counter heights for People of Determination are now standard.
The upgraded stations also include security cameras and fire alarm systems to enhance safety across all locations.
