Emirates is turning up the frequency on its Dubai–Cairo route, announcing plans to operate five daily flights by February 1, 2026 — officially making Cairo the most served African city in the airline’s network.

The expansion kicks off in December 2025 with six weekly flights, ramping up to a daily schedule in February. During the winter phase, flights will run every day except Thursdays, departing Dubai at 10:45 a.m. and landing in Cairo by 1:00 p.m. Return flights will leave Cairo at 2:40 p.m. and arrive in Dubai at 7:55 p.m.

Smooth Connections to Asia

Once the full daily schedule begins, Emirates’ new early-morning flights — departing Dubai at 4:00 a.m. and arriving in Cairo at 6:15 a.m. — will make it easier for travelers to connect to major Asian destinations, including Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand.

The route will be operated by a Boeing 777, offering more passenger seats and boosting weekly cargo capacity by 300 tonnes — perfect for transporting Egyptian exports like strawberries and fresh produce.

Cairo’s Growing Role in Emirates’ Network

Cairo already has the largest deployment of Emirates A380s in the Middle East and North Africa outside of Dubai. With the upcoming flight expansion, it’s set to become the airline’s top African hub for both passenger and cargo operations — and a major travel gateway linking Africa to Asia.
