Cool Treats While You Wait for Takeoff
If you’re flying with Emirates, keep your eyes peeled for four vibrant ice cream carts placed throughout the Departures zones. Whether you’re craving mango, chocolate, strawberry, or prefer a fruity sorbet like passionfruit or raspberry, there's something for everyone. The best part? It’s absolutely free but only if you’re traveling on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday between 12pm and 6pm.
Planning to Travel Between June 1 and 9? Get Ready for a Rush
With a major holiday comes major traffic, on the roads and in the airport. Emirates expects a high volume of travelers during the Eid period (June 1–9), and recommends customers plan ahead to make the journey stress-free.
Here’s a quick travel checklist to keep things running smoothly:
- Arrive at the airport at least 3 hours before your flight
- Clear Immigration at least 1.5 hours before departure
- Be at your gate no later than 1 hour before your flight
Make the Most of Emirates' Smart Travel Services
Check In From Home
Skip the airport queues entirely by using Emirates’ Home Check-In service in Dubai and Sharjah. An agent will come to your home, hotel, or office to complete the check-in process and take your bags. The service is free for First Class passengers and Platinum Skywards members and must be booked at least 24 hours ahead.
Try the City Check-In Store
If you’re near DIFC, pop into the Emirates City Check‑In and Travel Store at ICD Brookfield Place. It’s open daily from 8am to 10pm and lets you check in and drop off luggage between 24 and 4 hours before your flight.
Drop Bags Off Early at the Airport
Prefer heading to the airport the night before? No problem. Emirates lets you drop off your bags 24 hours in advance (or 12 hours if flying to the US) at no extra charge.
Use the Emirates App for Everything
Download the Emirates app to make travel a breeze. You can check in, get your boarding pass, pick your seat, pre-select meals (in Business Class), and even curate your inflight movie playlist with ICE entertainment—all in one place.

- Complimentary train between Concourses A and B
- Shuttle buses connecting Concourses A and C every 20 minutes
