After spending a major portion of our time indoors this year, there’s nothing that sounds more exhilarating than spending some time outdoors with a wide range of exhilarating activities all available in one destination. The Hatta Resorts and Wadi Hub has reopened its doors with fun-filled experiences such as ziplining, rock climbing, paragliding, camping, mountain climbing or even kayaking. 

After opening in 2018, this authentic experience has had visitors from all around the world and is set to welcome guests back with adventure fueled activities this month. Activities such as dual-ziplining, rock climbing and the slingshot ride will also be added to the playground from October 15 onwards. However, the already operational activities include archery, axe-throwing, mountain carting and zorbing.

All social distancing protocols along with health and safety measures have been put in place to ensure safety for all amid the COVID-19 pandemic. 

If you wish to spend the night, Hatta’s resorts have reopened with two types of accommodation included - Hatta Sedr Trailers and Hatta Damani Lodge. The Hatta Sedr trailers have a kitchenette attached for home-style cooking, while Hatta Damani Lodge overlook the Hatta Dam on three different levels on the mountain. Each has a own private terrace and large TV. Prices start at around Dhs700.  

For any hiking activities, there’s any area of 32.6 km which can be done for free along with a guide. The levels are colour coordinated from green to black varying from the beginner to experienced hikers level.

You can also experience local cuisine on your next visit to the Hatta Dam with Al Hajarain restaurant offering local Emirati cuisine or for any quick grub you can dine at any of the onsite food trucks. Also, to bring back a little memory from the trip, the Hatta Wadi Hub shop offers a fresh selection of souvenirs to take back with you and to remember your experience.
