At the heart of this year’s offering is an exceptional line-up of exclusive creative residencies, welcoming internationally acclaimed artists, designers, craftspeople, athletes and culinary talents to the island. Throughout the summer, guests will have the opportunity to engage directly with inspiring individuals whose practices span contemporary art, heritage craftsmanship, ceramics, sport and gastronomy.
French multidisciplinary artist Aurélie Hoegy, known for her sculptural works inspired by nature and creator of the iconic JOALI Hammock, will lead workshops exploring weaving, texture and craftsmanship. Latvian ceramic artist Laima Laurina will introduce families to the art of porcelain through creative making sessions, while Maldivian heritage artist Hidhana Latheef will share the traditions of Kasabu Viyun, offering a rare insight into one of the Maldives’ most treasured cultural crafts. Master chocolatier Melissa Coppel will bring a culinary dimension to the programme through interactive chocolate ateliers, while contemporary Maldivian artist Raya Mansoor will take up residency on the island, creating a new artwork inspired by her surroundings and culminating her stay with a special artist showcase and exhibition.
Adding a sporting element to the summer calendar, Nicola Adams OBE, double Olympic gold medallist and one of Britain’s most celebrated athletes, will join JOALI Maldives for a special residency featuring family fitness and boxing-inspired sessions designed to inspire confidence, resilience and wellbeing. Guests will also have the opportunity to participate in exclusive training experiences and private coaching sessions throughout her stay.
Alongside the residency programme, Muramas Kids Club will host a vibrant calendar of complimentary activities designed for children aged 4 to 12. Guided by Muramas’ playful companions Turtie, Manta, Pico and Mermie, young guests can unleash their creativity through DIY Mosaic Art, Basket Weaving Workshops, Tie-Dye Sessions, Puppet Workshops and Performances, Polaroid Photography classes and Little Chefs culinary experiences. Sustainability remains a key focus through the Eco Heroes: Trash to Treasure programme, encouraging children to transform recycled materials into imaginative creations while learning about environmental responsibility.
The programme also celebrates movement, teamwork and discovery through Laser Tag, Glow Games, Pool Battles, Beach Spike Ball, Outdoor Badminton, Tennis Clinics and Junior Archery. Younger guests can immerse themselves in Maldivian culture during Boduberu workshops, express their imagination through Balloon Art, or discover the wonders of the night sky during guided Stargazing sessions. Adding even more excitement this year, children can enjoy JOALI Maldives" brand-new waterslide, bringing an extra splash of adventure to every island day.
While younger guests immerse themselves in a world of discovery, adults can embrace JOALI Maldives’ distinctive rhythm of wellbeing and artful living. Curated art walks reveal the island’s creative spirit, while personalised wellness journeys, restorative spa rituals and moments of quiet reflection invite guests to reconnect with themselves and their surroundings.
Families can also come together through a collection of signature island experiences. Highlights include Cinema Under the Stars, where guests gather for open-air movie nights beneath the Maldivian sky, and the iconic Manta Treehouse Dining Experience, creating unforgettable moments surrounded by nature and the beauty of island life.
Bringing together creativity, culture, movement, wellbeing and shared discovery, JOALI Maldives presents a summer escape designed to foster meaningful connections and create cherished family memories. Complementing the Summer Camp 2026 Programme, the exclusive Kids of JOALI Offer has been thoughtfully crafted for family getaways, offering complimentary stays for up to two children, along with special rates on roundtrip seaplane transfers for children aged 2 to 11 years. The offer is valid for stays until 10 October 2026, for bookings made by 31 August 2026.
