The UAE government just cleared the air: there is no lifetime Golden Visa being offered to any nationality.
This comes after rumors spread in some media outlets and consulting firms claiming the UAE was giving out lifetime Golden Visas—false, according to the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP).
Golden Visa Rules Are Clear and Official
The ICP reminded everyone that the Golden Visa categories and rules are clearly stated in UAE laws and ministerial decisions.
If you’re applying, it’s done directly through the ICP’s website or smart app—no outside agencies or consultants involved.
Fake Press Release Sparks Confusion
The rumor started after a foreign consulting office reportedly issued a press release saying you could apply for a lifetime Golden Visa. Some media platforms picked it up without verifying it with UAE officials.
Legal Action on the Way
The ICP didn’t name names but said they’ll be taking legal action against whoever started the false claims, accusing them of playing on people’s dreams of living in the UAE to make a quick buck.
Stay Smart, Stay Safe
Planning to visit or move to the UAE? The ICP says: don’t believe random websites or sketchy ads. Always check the official website or call their hotline at 600522222.
