Over 1,200 Iranian Nationals Have Left Dubai
They left on flights routed through Afghanistan and Armenia.
The Consulate General of Iran has revealed that more than 1,200 Iranian nationals have returned home from Dubai since the start of the US-Israel war on their homeland.
The consulate released a statement, which revealed that 1,262 Iranians had returned to their country through Armenia and Afghanistan because the direct routes to Iran were closed.
The consulate added that they had asked the UAE authorities to allow additional returns via dedicated flights and sea transport.
The diplomatic mission says that they are waiting for permission from the UAE.
Emirates recently announced on its website that Iranian nationals are barred from entering or transiting via the UAE. Flydubai announced that Iranian nationals with a golden visa are exempt from the ban, therefore they can enter or transit via the UAE.
