The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in Saudi Arabia revealed that the Kingdom produces and exports more than 300 varieties of dates, with an annual production of more than 1.54 million tons, and exports worth SAR 1.215 billion, achieving the first rank in the world in date exports in terms of value during 2021.
The Ministry stated that Saudi Arabia is home to more than 33 million palm trees that produce different types of high-quality dates. It is noteworthy that the Ministry is working on creating an integrated system of agricultural, logistical, and marketing, services and adopting modern technologies to achieve production efficiency and increase the rate of consumption of Saudi dates locally and globally.
