If you’re a UAE resident planning to bring loved ones over, there’s a new rulebook to follow. To sponsor immediate family, you’ll need a monthly salary of at least Dh4,000. Want to bring in relatives beyond the first degree? That jumps to Dh8,000. And for friends, it’s a hefty Dh15,000 per month.
Four New Visa Categories
The update isn’t just about money—it’s also about variety. The UAE introduced four shiny new visa categories for specialists in AI, entertainment, events, cruise ships, and luxury yachts. Clearly, the country is looking to pull in some serious global talent.
Longer Stays, Easier Extensions
The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) also clarified visa durations and extension rules. Six types of permitted stays are now on the table, making the process more straightforward and less of a headache for applicants.
