Tea VS Coffee Which Is Better For You?

Do you rejoice when sipping coffee? You're not alone; pregnant women feel the same way too! The pregnancy period is a bit long; a pregnant woman cannot be deprived of her favorite drink throughout this period. Can she drink coffee safely during pregnancy?

Is Coffee Safe for Pregnant Women?

This question sparked the curiosity of a group of researchers at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia, where Dr. Gunn Helen Moen explained in a university release that “current World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines state that pregnant women should drink less than 300 mg of caffeine, or two to three cups a day. "But this is based on observational studies where it is difficult to separate coffee drinking from other risk factors such as smoking, alcohol or poor diet." Studies Reveal Facts

These researchers conducted a study that focused on the potential risks of coffee separately from other risk factors that affect pregnant women.

The results revealed that women who drink coffee during pregnancy do not have a greater risk of complications than women who do not drink coffee, so they can enjoy coffee without worrying about the increased risk of pregnancy provided it is consumed at a low to moderate level during those nine months.

Enjoy your coffee dear while you take care of your child to the fullest!
