To a large number of Baby Boomers, simplicity, routine, and close community connection dictated their growing up life in small towns of America. Life was less hurried and daily activities had permanence. There were few distractions, which promoted innovation and association with the real world. It is these primordial settings that provided value systems of independence, responsibility and belonging that still have a hold to this day on how most of them perceive the world.
