Located under the ice crust of the moon Europa on the planet Jupiter is an ocean that has fascinated scientists over the decades. It has been observed recently that the ice at its surface cracks and slides, a process which may have a direct contribution in feeding and energizing this hidden reservoir of water. The process leaves some serious questions concerning whether the moon harbors the possibility of the simple forms of life.
