According to officials, the decision applies to all nurseries, kindergartens, public and private schools, as well as higher education institutions nationwide. Students, teachers, and administrative staff will continue to operate remotely during this period.
Authorities said the move is aimed at ensuring the continuity of education while safeguarding students and staff amid the evolving security situation. The extension follows earlier precautionary measures that saw schools shift to online learning at the beginning of March due to regional instability.

The Ministry of Education confirmed that the situation will be reviewed on a weekly basis, with updates to be communicated through official channels.
In parallel, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced that universities will also continue distance learning for the same duration. Private institutions have been given flexibility to request a return to in-person classes if necessary, depending on their operational requirements.
To support families during this period, flexible remote working arrangements have also been introduced for eligible federal government employees who are caregivers, allowing them to manage both work and childcare responsibilities.
The extension comes as part of broader national efforts to maintain stability and public safety while ensuring that students across the UAE continue their education with minimal disruption.
