The US Department of State launched a new system called the FIFA Priority Appointment Scheduling System (PASS). It basically bumps World Cup ticket holders ahead in the line once they submit their visa application.
So yes, if you already grabbed match tickets but your interview date was sitting somewhere in 2027… this is your lifeline.
Who Gets It
This is especially big for UAE residents who need a B1/B2 visitor visa. Non-priority slots are currently backed up more than a year, with some applicants getting dates after the World Cup is already over—that’s not ideal when you’ve already booked your flights and maybe a hotel near a stadium.
Officials say every ticket holder will get a chance to schedule an interview early enough to actually attend the tournament.
What It Doesn’t Mean
A priority slot doesn’t mean a guaranteed visa. The Embassy made this super clear: having a World Cup ticket won’t magically approve your application. You still need to meet all US visa requirements, and every case is reviewed individually.
When It Rolls Out
PASS is set to officially launch in early 2026, and the system is designed to make sure no ticket holder misses the World Cup because of interview delays.
So if you’re gearing up for match-day chants in New York, LA, or Miami—this might be your green light to get moving.
