Oh, that’s a close one. Vancouver condo prices rose 20 per cent year-over-year in 2017, and in January, hit a benchmark high of $655,000. While that’s nowhere near Canada’s top-shelf private islands — retreats in the Muskokas routinely top $7 million — Nova Scotia islands can be had for less than $200,000. What’s the better investment, though? Don’t bet on Calf Island.
