Here is a list of the five best places in Toronto to savor delightful Middle Eastern dishes:

Maha's Brunch

Located at 226 Greenwood Avenue, Toronto, Maha's Brunch is an Egyptian brunch spot that serves fresh and made to order meals. You  can't go wrong with their sunny eggs and foole, a traditional Egyptian breakfast dish made with mashed fava beans, and here diced tomatoes and onions are mixed in before it's topped with a pair of sunny-side-up eggs.

The Haifa Room

The Haifa Room, located at 224 Ossington Avenue, Toronto, derives its name from the city of Haifa, a region where Israelis and Palestinians manage to coexist. Their boneless lamb shoulder is a must-try. It is very tender and pairs beautifully with the accompanying sumac yogurt and melts right in your mouth.

Parallel

Parallel is a creative Middle Eastern eatery located at 217 Geary Avenue, Toronto. It serves one of the best falafel in town, as their falafel is bright green on the inside due to a mix of coriander, mint, scallion, parsley, and green pepper. A little tahini on the plate is the perfect nutty complement.

Tabule Riverside

Located at 810 Queen Street East, Tabule Riverside is a welcome addition to the sea of shopworn falafel takeaway counters in the city. Their Fattush Salad is simple but delicious and fresh. It's composed of roughly chopped tomatoes, cucumber, toasted pita and fresh herbs and tossed in lemon, olive oil and a dusting of sumac. You should not miss it!

Fat Pasha

Fat Pasha is a funky eatery with country-chic decor serving Middle Eastern and European Jewish dishes. Don't miss their shawarma and mixed grilled dish that comes packed with grilled meats, thick-cut Yukon fries, smoked paprika mayo, mixed pickles, hummus and amba, a sweet apricot condiment. Fat Pasha is located at 414 Dupont Street.
