Dubai Announces Free Parking and Metro Timings for Eid Al Adha 2026

In celebration of Eid Al Adha 2026, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced a series of special measures to enhance mobility and convenience for residents and visitors. The initiatives include free public parking, extended metro and tram timings, and adjusted bus services during the festive period.

Free Parking Across Dubai

Motorists can enjoy a week of free parking in public parking areas, with the exception of multistorey parking. The waiver will be in effect from Monday, May 25, to Friday, May 29, 2026, allowing residents and visitors to park without charges during the Eid holiday.

Extended Metro and Tram Services

To accommodate increased travel demand, the Dubai Metro (Red and Green lines) will operate with extended hours:

  • Monday to Saturday: Trains will run from 5:00 AM to 1:00 AM.
  • Sunday: Trains will operate from 8:00 AM to 1:00 AM the following day.

The Dubai Tram will also see extended timings:

  • Monday to Saturday: 6:00 AM to 1:00 AM.
  • Sunday: 9:00 AM to 1:00 AM.

Bus Service Adjustments

The E100 bus route will suspend operations from Saturday, May 23, to Sunday, May 31, 2026. During this period, passengers traveling to Abu Dhabi are advised to use Bus Route E101, which will operate from Ibn Battuta Bus Station.

Eid Al Adha Holiday Schedule

Eid Al Adha will officially begin on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, with public sector staff enjoying a five-day holiday from Monday, May 25, to Friday, May 29. Normal working hours will resume on Monday, June 1.

Private sector staff will have a four-day break, from Tuesday, May 26, to Friday, May 29, with work resuming on Monday, June 1.

Enhancing Convenience for All

These measures reflect Dubai’s commitment to ensuring smooth and hassle-free travel during the Eid holiday. Whether commuting for celebrations, shopping, or visiting family, residents and visitors can take advantage of free parking, extended public transport hours, and alternative bus routes to make their Eid plans more convenient.
