Dubai Desert Safari Named Best Bucket List Activity in World

A trip into the Dubai desert was awarded the world's number one activity to cross off your bucket list, at the 2023 Travellers' Choice Best of the Best "Things to Do" Awards.

In order to compile the Travellers' Choice Best of the Best Things to Do list, the international travel site Tripadvisor analyzed 12-months' worth of review data from millions of users throughout the world, with Dubai taking the top spot.

A hike to Machu Picchu in Peru, whale viewing in Alaska, United States, and snorkelling near tectonic plates in Iceland are all on the list of top exceptional travel experiences.

The official Dubai Media Office tweeted about the victory, saying the activity in the Lahbab dunes “combines dune-bashing, quad biking, camel rides, sandboarding, stargazing” as well as Arabian barbecue on a six-hour expedition.

In addition to being the top activity for a bucket list, Dubai's desert adventure was ranked as the world's fourth best experience overall, which is a significant accomplishment for the UAE's expanding tourism industry.
