Khor Al Mamzar Beach has officially reopened to the public following a comprehensive regeneration project designed to transform the area into a premier 24-hour visitor attraction. The revitalized site now stands as a cornerstone of Dubai's broader Dh3 billion masterplan to upgrade the emirate's coastline, aiming to establish globally iconic urban and tourism destinations.

The centerpiece of the new development is the region's first floating walkway, which connects the two sides of the Al Mamzar lagoon and provides access to a new waterfront restaurant. This innovative structure allows visitors to explore the beach's extensive amenities from a unique vantage point. The facility also boasts more than 5.5 kilometers of dedicated tracks for running, walking, and cycling, catering to fitness enthusiasts and casual strollers alike.
Significant expansion has increased the sandy beachfront to 182,000 square meters, more than doubling its previous size. The swimming shoreline has been extended to 3.6 kilometers, offering ample space for water activities. To ensure long-term coastal resilience, approximately 350,000 cubic meters of sand were utilized in land reclamation efforts, guided by specialized environmental studies.
New recreational facilities include an outdoor gym, beach volleyball courts, padel courts, and a variety of water sports centers. A dedicated 300-meter "night beach" has also been established, enabling safe swimming and leisure activities after dark.
These additions are part of the Dh500 million Al Mamzar Beaches initiative, which also encompasses upgrades to the Al Mamzar Corniche. Upon full completion of the wider initiative, the facility is projected to serve up to seven million visitors annually.
The reopening marks the first stage of a larger strategy that includes future enhancements at Jumeirah 1, Jumeirah 2, Umm Suqeim 1 and 2, and Jebel Ali Beach. The project aligns with the emirate's vision to become the best city in the world to live in by 2040, focusing on delivering premium experiences centered on comfort, well-being, and sustainability. The beach was formally inaugurated by the director general of Dubai Municipality, signaling a commitment to creating some of the world's most advanced and attractive beachfront destinations for both residents and tourists.
