Indie Duo Seafret Are Coming to Dubai This September

The British indie duo Seafret will present their latest album at the Dubai Opera on Friday, September 15th.

"Wonderland" is a stunning piece of work that takes the listener through the band's tale, from heartache and loss to the joys of love and new life. It is the result of two years of hard effort by band members and lifelong friends Jack Sedman and Harry Draper.

Seafret, a band from Bridlington, Yorkshire, that was founded in 2011 after meeting at an open mic event nearby, quickly gained recognition after their debut album, Give Me Something, was released.

A year later, in 2015, they released their astounding Oceans EP.

The lead single, "Oceans," has had over 170 million Spotify streams and is accompanied by a video in which Game of Thrones actress Maisie Williams plays a teenager who is bullied.

The 2016 album Tell Me It's great by Seafret, which was distributed by Columbia Records, debuted at number one in the UK and was well welcomed by critics who commended its "moments of real beauty" and subtle passion.

They worked with producer Ross Hamilton on their second album, Most Of Us Are Strangers, for eight weeks at a Glasgow studio.

The album caught the attention of national publications including The Times, which singled out the band’s “quality songwriting” and accomplished sound.

Their 2016 single "Atlantis," off their debut album, became viral on TikTok in a sped-up form, amassing 1.7 billion views with the song hashtag and, as of this writing, more than 400 million Spotify streams.
