Brisket with BBQ Sauce

1 beef brisket (3 to 4 pounds)
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 cup BBQ sauce (store-bought or homemade)
1 onion, sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup beef broth
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon chili powder

    Begin by seasoning the beef brisket generously with salt and pepper on all sides. Allow it to sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes to absorb the flavors.
  2. Sear the Brisket

    Heat olive oil in a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the brisket to the skillet and sear it until browned on all sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  3. Prepare the BBQ Sauce

    In a mixing bowl, combine the BBQ sauce, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, smoked paprika, cumin, and chili powder.
