UAE President Offers Condolences for Ahmedabad Plane Crash

UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed offered his condolences for the tragic Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad, India, on Thursday, June 12. 

The president wrote, "We are deeply saddened by the tragic plane accident in Ahmedabad today. The thoughts of everyone in the UAE are with Prime Minister @narendramodi and the people of India, and we offer our heartfelt condolences to all those affected."

Other world leaders also offered their condolences including Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, French President Emmanuel Macron, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

According to the latest updates, 204 bodies were recovered from the crash and one survivor was found who is currently receiving medical treatment for his injuries. 

The All India Medical Association has reported that five MBBS students were killed and almost 50 individuals were injured because of the crash because the plane fell on top of the dining hall of BJ Medical College.
