On Wednesday, the UAE Cabinet commemorated 17 years since His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, took on the position of Prime Minister. In a series of tweets, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed summarized his 17 years of accomplishments since becoming Prime Minister.

Sheikh Mohammed introduced 4,200 rules in the social, economic, and service sectors during his 17 years as prime minister, in addition to more than 10,000 resolutions over 440 Cabinet meetings.

He emphasized that the UAE topped 186 worldwide rankings and 430 regional rankings. The government budget increased by 140%, and international trade went up to AED 2,200 billion.

"We launched 330 government policies and initiatives to develop the economic environment in the country and signed 600 international agreements to jump our foreign trade from 415 billion to 2200 billion dirhams, and to double the country's gross product in the same period, reaching more than 1800 billion dirhams...and to lead the region in incoming investments to the state, reaching more than 734 billion dirhams," Sheikh Mohammed tweeted.

"In only ten years, its investments reach 36 billion dirhams, and it includes space missions to Mars, Venus, the Moon, and others, and a space agency and the manufacture of satellites in the hands of the people of the country. Today, with the support of my brother, the President of the State, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and in the spirit of the union and the spirit of the young Emirates, the march will continue...", he concluded.
