The promotion of 8,385 high-ranking officers and other officials of Dubai governmental organizations has been ordered by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai.

The State Security Department, General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs, General Directorate of Civil Defense, Dubai Police, and General Directorate of Civil Defense employ the officials.

The promotions were given in appreciation for their considerable contributions to raising the bar for security and safety for all members of society, including citizens, residents, and guests and improving the security system's effectiveness in the emirate.

Promotions were given to a total of 5,680 Dubai Police officers, 1,249 General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs staffers, 921 State Security Department employees, and 535 General Directorate of Civil Defence employees.

The Deputy Chief of Police and General Security, Lieutenant-General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, emphasized that the promotions will act as an essential incentive for individuals who have been nurturing more dedication in carrying out their jobs and successfully tackling numerous threats and obstacles.

He extended his sincere congratulations to those who earned promotions and best wishes as they carried out their crucial function in protecting the neighborhood and the country.
