Christian Oliver, known for roles in films like Speed Racer and Valkyrie, tragically lost his life along with his two young daughters in a plane crash off a Caribbean island.

The small single-engine plane, piloted by Robert Sachs, took off from Bequia and was en route to St Lucia when it crashed into the sea. The victims, including Oliver's daughters Madita and Annik, were all recovered by local fishermen and divers.

The crash occurred shortly after takeoff, and investigations are ongoing to determine the cause. Reports suggest that the pilot radioed the tower about difficulties before the crash.

Christian Oliver, 51, born Christian Klepser, had an extensive career, collaborating with filmmakers like Steven Soderbergh and Brian Singer. His filmography includes The Good German, Valkyrie, and Speed Racer. He also played a detective in the German action series Alarm for Cobra 11 and appeared in Saved By the Bell: The New Class. His most recent work included the upcoming movie Forever Hold Your Peace, co-starring Bai Ling, where he completed his final scenes on December 20.
