In 1748, King George II invented celebrating two birthdays a year as a tradition for monarchs. Accordingly, Queen Elizabeth II had two birthdays each year. Her actual birthday was in April, while her official birthday was on the second Saturday in June.

Queen Elizabeth was born at 02:04 am on 21 April 1926, in Mayfair, London. So, 21st April was the actual date for Queen Elizabeth's birthday.

How Did Queen Elizabeth II Celebrate Her Official Birthday? 

Queen Elizabeth's 2nd birthday, Queen Elizabeth II's official birthday, was celebrated in June with a special 41-gun salute in London's Green Park.
