Dubai Airports just dropped big news — DXB and Al Maktoum (DWC) are getting a full accessibility makeover. The goal? To make traveling smoother and more inclusive for everyone by 2035. The plan is part of their new initiative, “DXB for All,” which promises empathy-led design, sensory-friendly spaces, and better mobility support for travelers of determination.
Real Stories, Real Change
Inspired by its earlier campaign, “We All Meet the World Differently,” Dubai Airports is spotlighting six real-life stories of travelers of determination who’ve faced airport challenges — and how DXB plans to fix them. Think quiet zones, tactile pathways for the visually impaired, and airport staff trained in sign language.
Partners Joining the Flight
The project isn’t a solo mission. Emirates, flydubai, Dubai Police, and dnata are all onboard to make the experience seamless. Expect upgrades like Assisted Travel Lounges, Sunflower Lanyard programs, hearing loops at 500+ touchpoints, wheelchair-friendly routes, and priority lanes for guests with hidden disabilities.
